Apple Pie (a la mode) Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple chopped (I used Honeycrisp)

  • 1/4 frozen banana

  • 1 cup raw/frozen cauliflower rice

  • 1/4 cup gluten free rolled oats

  • 3/4 cup non-dairy unsweetened milk

  • 2 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • 1 TBSP chia seed

  • 1 TBSP nut butter (optional)

  • 1/2 to 1 tsp cinnamon

Method

  1. Wash & remove seeds from the apple & dice into large chunks. I left the skin on my apple since I use a Vitamix. If you’re not using a high speed blender, you may need to remove the skin.

  2. Add all ingredients to your blender. Add more liquid if needed for desired consistency.

  3. I LOVE cinnamon, so I use a full teaspoon but start with 1/2 tsp & give it a taste test! Apple Pie recipes usually call for nutmeg, I tried it in this recipe and even the smallest amount was very overpowering. But if you like that spice, feel free to sprinkle it in!
