This smoothie is full of grounding herbs that are perfect for this time of year.
These spices have strong roots within Ayurvedic wellness practices, a medicinal system that relies on potent plant extracts and nutrients found within nature to restore whole-body health and balance.

🔸TURMERIC:
Curcumin is the main active ingredient in turmeric. It has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant.Unfortunately, the curcumin in turmeric is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream. As a result, you could be missing out on its advantages to health. However, adding black pepper can help. Research supports that combining the piperine in black pepper with the curcumin in turmeric enhances curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%. So that’s why this smoothie has black pepper! It sounds strange but it tastes delicious (just don’t add too much)

🔸GINGER:
Ginger is rich with phytochemicals, antioxidants, and other beneficial compounds that aid digestion, support brain function, ease inflammation, and protect against infection.

🔸CINNAMON:
Cinnamon is packed with compounds, like procyanidins and polyphenols, that provide powerful antioxidant effects. Also known to fight inflammation, lower blood sugar & may lower cholesterol.
